The traditional split snatch is a great Olympic lift, but you might kill somebody doing it in a normal commercial gym with a barbell. Plus, a regular gym probably doesn't have the right equipment.
No worries, you can still get many of the same benefits by doing this dumbbell variation. This will develop unilateral leg strength and test your athleticism.
